These terms govern your use of the HoldCart app ("the app") on your Shopify store. By installing the app you agree to them.

The service

HoldCart reserves inventory of products you choose at add-to-cart, so two shoppers cannot both check out with the last unit. To do this, the app sets your protected products to continue selling past zero stock while it manages the reservations.

Fail-open design & your responsibility

The app is designed to fail open: if the service is interrupted, checkout continues to work and protection degrades rather than blocking sales. Because protected products are set to keep selling past zero, you should always use Settings → "Disable protection on all products" before uninstalling, so no product is left oversellable. You are responsible for your inventory settings and for reviewing the app's effect on your store.

Plans & billing

The Free plan includes a monthly reservation allowance and limited configuration. The Pro plan is billed through Shopify's billing system in USD. You can change or cancel your plan at any time from Shopify.

Limitations

Reservations are enforced at online-store checkout. The app is not aware of point-of-sale or other sales channels, and subscription/selling-plan products are excluded from protection. The app is provided "as is"; to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
